Founded in 1990, Partners in Revitalization and Building (PRB) is a national non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization in Afghanistan. It is formally registered with the Ministry of Economy under license number 94, dated October 6, 2005, and is governed by its General Assembly and Board of Directors.
PRB has dedicated itself to supporting the most vulnerable and underserved communities across Afghanistan. Through various forms of development and humanitarian aid, the organization has been actively working to reduce poverty, empower marginalized groups, and advocate for gender equality. PRB's interventions span key sectors that address the pressing needs of communities, contributing to long-term stability and development. These sectors include education, agriculture, livestock and animal health, food security and livelihoods, capacity building, community development, and emergency humanitarian services.
As a committed member of the Afghanistan humanitarian community, PRB is a member of ACBAR and a signatory to its code of conduct. Over the years, PRB has partnered with UN agencies, INGOs, and NNGOs, successfully implementing more than 260 impactful projects across different regions of Afghanistan.
