Education:
A completed secondary education or a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social science, public administration, management, and/or other related social science fields is preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in Adolescent and Youth (A&Y) programming.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated professional experience in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects in fields such as youth development, social work, community mobilization, and reproductive health or psycho-social support is an asset.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media platforms, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of information management, including data flows, protection, and analysis, as well as qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
- Experience working with conflict-affected communities, particularly with adolescents and youth.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Previous experience working with UN agencies or international NGOs is an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required.
Knowledge of Dari or Pashto is an advantage.
Expected travel: The consultant will be based in Kabul. H/she may travel outside of Kabul as guided by the office.
