Job Descriptions:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural / CAD Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing structural design solutions and producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings using CAD software. This dual-role position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and proficiency in drafting to support the successful delivery of infrastructure, building, and rehabilitation projects.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Design:

Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures in compliance with international and local standards (e.g., ACI, Eurocode, ASCE).
Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure structural designs align with project requirements.
Conduct site visits and assist with technical assessments, inspections, and reporting.
Review design documents to ensure constructability and code compliance.

CAD Drafting:

Produce detailed structural drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and details using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
Modify and update existing drawings based on design revisions and feedback from engineers.
Ensure all drawings are clear, accurate, and follow project-specific and company CAD standards.
Maintain proper documentation and archiving of all design files and project data.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure consistency and integration across all design outputs.

Job Requirements:

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural design and CAD drafting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and basic 3D drafting).
- Experience with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or STAAD Pro is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of design standards (ACI, ASCE, IBC, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Other Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the humanitarian or development sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit is an asset (optional).
