Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic & Contractual Oversight
- Manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and government entities.
- Ensure compliance with Afghan laws, security protocols, and international standards.
- Handle land acquisition and resolve community disputes.
2. Financial & Resource Management
- Develop and control the project budget (materials, labor, and logistics).
- Approve expenditures and prevent cost overruns.
- Coordinate procurement and logistics (equipment, fuel, security).
3. Stakeholder & Security Coordination
- Liaise with Afghan government agencies, local leaders.
- Ensure safety protocols for staff in high-risk zones.
4. Schedule & Risk Management
- Maintain the project timeline (adjusting for weather, security delays).
- Mitigate non-technical risks (funding gaps, political instability).
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Submit weekly progress reports to HQ and donors.
- Document permits, inspections, and handover processes.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Manage recruitment, on boarding, and retention of skilled workforce.
- Oversee employee relations, performance management, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Handle payroll, compensation, and administration in coordination with the Finance team.
- Promote a strong organizational culture and employee engagement.
- Address workforce challenges in a construction environment.
