Position Overview:
Asrar Aziz Noori Construction, Road Building, and Logistics Company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) Road Engineer to oversee the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of road infrastructure projects in the Paktya and Khost provinces. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all RCC road projects meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, while managing timelines and ensuring safety standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
o Plan, manage, and supervise the construction of RCC roads in accordance with approved designs and engineering standards.
o Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of road construction projects.
o Monitor project progress and adjust timelines, resources, and budgets as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
o Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and update senior management on project developments.
2. Technical Oversight:
o Conduct on-site inspections to ensure the proper construction techniques are used, and that RCC road works adhere to engineering specifications and quality standards.
o Collaborate with design teams to interpret and implement engineering drawings, specifications, and design plans.
o Review and recommend improvements to designs, construction methods, and materials used in RCC road construction.
3. Quality Control:
o Implement quality control measures for materials used in road construction to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
o Monitor testing and inspection activities to ensure RCC roads meet strength, durability, and safety requirements.
o Address and resolve any issues related to non-conformance of work or materials.
4. Safety Management:
o Ensure that construction activities comply with all safety regulations and standards.
o Conduct safety audits, training, and enforce safety practices on the construction site.
o Investigate and report any accidents or safety violations.
5. Resource and Budget Management:
o Oversee the efficient use of materials, equipment, and manpower to ensure project milestones are met within budget.
o Manage procurement of necessary resources and materials, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
6. Collaboration with Stakeholders:
o Liaise with government authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and resolve any concerns or issues.
o Assist in preparing and reviewing project proposals, contracts, and technical documentation.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including engineering reports, material certifications, and progress updates.
o Ensure proper record-keeping for compliance and audit purposes.
