Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

The Life Skill Trainer works in the Women Friendly Health Spaces (MCHCs) to provide life skill training to beneficiaries of all ages on different vocations identified under the project. The position holder will be responsible for preparing the plan for life skill training, providing the training to beneficiaries, maintaining the attendance sheets of the trainees, and collaborating with other teams to successfully accomplish tasks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a training plan for the training classes based on the activity and duration of the life skill training. She is assigned to provide basic vocational skills and Life skills training based on the need and demand.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of the training and activities based on the monthly action plan and tasks assigned.
  • Request the training materials on monthly basis to the MCHC In-Charge and maintain a record of the training materials in the MCHCs.
  • Support the project team in preparing a detailed list of the trainees, their attendance and documentation for the MCHCs.
  • Provide life skill training to the beneficiaries (20 women or more in a MCHC) according to the curriculum.
  • Maintain the registration book of the trainees and provide the required support to the project team.
  • Regularly identify the latest designs/trends demanded in the local market/nearby provincial/regional market and provide training on those designs to the life skill trainees.
  • Support the trainees in establishing their own business on graduation form the vocational training.
  • Any other task assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications:

  • Middle school, be able to read and write-it will be tested (preference will be given to high school graduates).
  • Candidates with background of vocational skills training /life skill training (Tailoring, Food Processing, Handcrafts etc.) will be given preference.

Experience:

  • The minimum required experience is 6 Months to 1 year.

Competency:

  • Relationships: Able to build good relationships with the women beneficiaries, project team, and local community.
  • Communication: Speaks and writes (Preferably) clearly and effectively. Listens to others and shows real commitment to maintaining open communication with the beneficiaries and team members.
  • Teamwork: Committed to working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve project goals/objectives. Willing to learn from others and open to feedback.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Willingness, enthusiasm, and experience in working with vulnerable women.
  • Demonstrated work experience in providing vocational training to women in the MCHC.
