Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

The position holder is expected to learn about IMC and the MHPSS interventions within the organization’s scope of work in addition to understanding the MHPSS literature and work in humanitarian context, program approaches and enhance their knowledge of basics of MHPSS M&E.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Administrative:

  • Getting familiar with organization and management of the SharePoint platform and online filing system including project documents.
  • Develop understanding of key processes such as HR, Admin, Finance, Logistics, and Security, thereby helping to build more efficient operational workflows.
  • Getting familiar with scheduling bi-weekly intra-team coordination meetings, liaison with the PSCs in the field and recording meeting minutes.

Technical:

  • Developing skills in preparation of presentation, training, meeting minutes in view of the occasion.
  • Getting familiarized with monitoring tools and training remotely under the support and supervision of MHPSS coordination team in Kabul.
  • Attend any other capacity building efforts in line with the classification and requisite of the position.

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

Safeguarding:

  • It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons.

  • Bachelor of Psychology, counselling and other related fields.

Experience:

  • Fresh graduate or graduated in past two year with no experience.

Competency:

  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with Ms. Office package (e.g. word, excel).
  • Speaking skills: English (Mandatory), Dari and/or Pashto.
  • Desire to continue in the field of MHPSS and motivation to learn.
