Summary:
The Education Officer / Master Trainer will be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of education activities, while also serving as a lead trainer for teachers, facilitators, and other education personnel.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the planning and implementation of education project activities.
· Ensure education activities are implemented according to project plans, standards, and organizational policies.
· Coordinate with schools, teachers, community representatives, education authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
· Support the development of activity plans, schedules, and training plans.
· Identify challenges affecting education quality and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Participate in education assessments, needs assessments, and program reviews.
· Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions and refresher trainings.
· Prepare training materials, presentations, lesson plans, handouts, and practical exercises.
· Assess participants’ learning before, during, and after training.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to trained teachers and facilitators.
· Identify training needs and recommend appropriate capacity-building activities.
· Ensure training content is consistent with approved curricula, teaching standards, and project requirements.
· Act as a lead trainer and technical resource person for education-related training.
· Facilitate ToT workshops and support cascade training at field level.
· Mentor and coach trainers to improve their facilitation and training skills.
· Observe training sessions and provide constructive feedback to trainers.
· Support the development and adaptation of training packages and tools.
· Maintain records of training participants, attendance, assessment results, and training outcomes.
· Conduct regular monitoring visits to schools, learning centers, and training sites.
· Observe classroom teaching and provide constructive technical feedback.
· Monitor teacher performance and implementation of training recommendations.
· Collect and analyze education-related data and information.
· Prepare regular activity and progress reports.
· Document success stories, lessons learned, challenges, and best practices.
· Support program evaluations and quality improvement processes.
· Ensure accurate and timely submission of monitoring and reporting documents.
· Coordinate closely with the Education Coordinator/Project Manager and field teams.
· Maintain effective communication with teachers, school management, communities, and education authorities.
· Participate in education coordination meetings and technical working groups when required.
· Represent the organization professionally during relevant meetings, workshops, and training events.
· Promote safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environments.
· Ensure gender, disability, protection, and inclusion considerations are incorporated into education activities.
· Follow organizational safeguarding, child protection, code of conduct, and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse policies.
· Immediately report safeguarding concerns through established organizational mechanisms.
