Job Descriptions:

We are looking for a compassionate and resilient MHPSS Support Officer to integrate mental health care into our clinical services. In this role, you will provide psychological first aid, brief counseling, and psychosocial support to patients while facilitating referrals to specialized care. The ideal candidate is a skilled listener who can manage sensitive cases and advocate for mental well-being within a medical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial mental health screenings and triage for patients presenting with distress.
  • Provide brief, evidence-based psychosocial interventions and crisis counseling.
  • Identify severe mental health conditions and facilitate referrals to psychiatrists or psychologists.
  • Develop and lead psychoeducation groups for patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case notes and track patient progress.
  • Advocate for the integration of mental health services within the general medical workflows.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Certification or diploma in Counseling or Mental Health is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical mental health support or community psychosocial work.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Excellent emotional resilience, empathy, and cross-cultural communication skills.
