The company supplies electrical equipment and materials and works with local and international manufacturers, suppliers, and business partners.

HNC is seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Officer to support the company’s local and international purchasing activities.

Job Descriptions:

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will communicate with local and international suppliers on behalf of the company, obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices and commercial terms, and follow up procurement activities from the initial inquiry until the final delivery of goods.

The selected candidate must have excellent English communication skills, particularly in business correspondence, speaking, and negotiation. Previous experience in procurement, supplier communication, purchasing, or international business transactions is highly preferred.

Job Requirements:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and companies.
  • Request quotations, proforma invoices, catalogues, technical documents, and delivery information.
  • Compare prices, product specifications, payment terms, delivery times, warranties, and transportation conditions.
  • Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Prepare and follow up purchase orders and procurement documents.
  • Follow up orders from quotation and confirmation through production, shipment, and final delivery.
  • Coordinate procurement activities with management and the finance, technical, banking, transportation, and logistics departments.
  • Search for reliable suppliers and maintain professional relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Assist with both international and local purchasing activities.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports for management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, English Language and Literature, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential.
  • Strong business communication, correspondence, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with local and international companies.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes, quotations, proforma invoices, purchase orders, and commercial documents.
  • Ability to compare prices, specifications, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Required Experience

  • At least two years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier communication, logistics, import operations, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in communicating and negotiating with international suppliers is highly preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing electrical, technical, construction, or industrial materials will be considered an advantage.
  • Candidates with strong English skills and proven procurement experience will be given priority.
