Afghanistan Development & Assistance Organization (ADAO) is a national NGO registered under the Ministry of Economy which is established 17 years ago (founded in 2006) by a group of young and professional Afghans to work on the development of Agriculture, sustainable livelihoods opportunities to support most vulnerable communities both urban and rural areas consequently will have access to better education, primary health care, good governance, and eventually improved sustainable community development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

The Donor Communication Officer is responsible for managing all communication and correspondence with donors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and maintaining strong and professional relationships with funding partners. The position supports the preparation of project updates, donor reports, success stories, presentations, and other relevant documents, while working closely with program, finance, and other relevant departments.

The Donor Communication Officer plays a key role in promoting transparency, accountability, and effective information sharing between the organization and its donors. The position also supports compliance with donor requirements, the preparation of high-quality reports, and the strengthening of partnerships with funding agencies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in donor relations, communications, reporting, or public relations, preferably in an NGO environment.
• Strong understanding of donor communication protocols, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and high-quality reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.
• Good coordination, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to manage documentation effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling donor-related information.
