· Overall management of mental health and psychosocial department.
· Conduct daily ward rounds for observation and review of patients with neuropsychiatric problems.
· Ensure patient case notes, transfer, referral, and discharges are written on daily basis and ensure regular monitoring of patients’ progress.
· Run Neuropsychiatric clinic on a regular basis and attend to emergency cases when necessary.
· Liaise with Consultants on handling specialized cases in provision of patients’ health care.
· Participate in all clinical activities and support departmental heads in timely and accurate medical reports, audits, and mortality reviews.
· Participate in all clinical audit activities, presentations, rounds and clinical teaching by visiting consultants.
· Follow the routine roster arrangements by Clinical Director or his representative.
· Observe and comply with environmental health and occupational safety measures and regulations.
· Provide professional guidance to facilitate growth and development of the institution.
· Ensure effective utilization of resources.
· Work with subordinates to establish effective managerial control through delegation and coordination.
· Stimulate achievement and evaluate performance on a regular basis.
· Work effectively with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
· Participate in regular participative meetings.
· Having active role regarding IPC of the hospital.
· Report to Head of your Department.
· Proper management of neuropsychiatric consultations with FMIC through telemedicine.
Reporting:
- You are to report to the Head of Department, who can also assign any other responsibilities to you in addition to the above prescribed duties.
