Organization for Research and Community Development (ORCD) is a national Afghan NGO registered in 2011. It has delivered more than 119 projects worth over USD 69 million across 31 provinces in health, nutrition, WASH, food security, agriculture, livelihoods, protection, and climate resilience. ORCD employs around 1,800 staff, at least 30% of them women, and is an implementing partner for nine UN agencies.

 

Job Descriptions:

We are inviting CVs for the position of Enterprise Development Facilitator to support small business and income-generation activities under a rural development program in Badakhshan and Kunar. The role will help households and small groups turn livelihood activities into viable income sources. The facilitator will support the formation and strengthening of small enterprises, advise on basic business planning and record keeping, and help producers connect to local markets and buyers. The role will work closely with the livelihoods team to identify viable opportunities, sequence support realistically, and ensure women entrepreneurs are included through culturally appropriate arrangements. The facilitator will also track the progress of supported enterprises and capture practical results. Knowledge of local markets and the ability to build trust with rural entrepreneurs will be central to this position.

 

 

 

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise development and market linkage
  • Practical experience supporting small enterprises, business planning, and connecting producers to markets
  • Experience working with rural entrepreneurs and producer groups in Afghanistan is an advantage
  • Experience supporting women-led enterprises is an advantage
  • Ability to travel to field sites and work directly with communities
  • Local language skills suited to Badakhshan and Kunar
