Job Summary:
The Oracle Solaris System Administrator will be responsible for setting up servers, installing servers, creating and implementing Linux configurations, networking servers, and troubleshooting.
The Oracle Solaris System Administrator looks after design, installation, maintenance, and retirement of the systems, application server, WebLogic Server, data, security of the systems that are at the core of the organization, This role is responsible for the Technical and server Administration for infrastructure: Designing, building and implementing IT infrastructure; Proving timely and high-quality completion of projects (Tasks and request and ensuring the IT infrastructure environment is up to data through proactive auditing and Patch management.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot Solaris, Linux, and Windows servers, operating systems, applications, and related infrastructure.
- Manage Production (PR) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments, including load balancing, server migration, resource sharing, high availability, redundancy, backups, and business continuity solutions.
- Administer user accounts, Active Directory, storage systems (SAN, NAS, Oracle ZFS), virtual machines, and data center infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, availability, security, backups, patches, upgrades, and disaster recovery readiness to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support, automate routine administration tasks, maintain documentation, and manage incident and outage reporting.
- Administer Oracle FCCM, Oracle OBDX, Oracle WebLogic Servers, Smart Banking systems, and other enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with IT Security, Network, and vendor teams to maintain infrastructure integrity, security, compliance, and performance.
- Monitor data center operations, maintain standards and procedures, and recommend infrastructure improvements and technology upgrades.
Data Center Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily health monitoring and reporting of core data center infrastructure.
- Maintain documentation and event logs for processes and activities.
- Provide recommendations for procuring new data center equipment as needed.
- Keeping track of developing trends in data center technologies.
- Collaborating with IT Security and network teams on cybersecurity and network efficiency.
- Make sure the Data Center standard procedure followed by the team, units and vendor
- efficiently.
