Position Summary
The IT Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's information technology systems, networks, hardware, and software. The role ensures smooth IT operations, provides technical support to staff, and safeguards data security.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and network systems.
· Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees.
· Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, and network security.
· Manage user accounts, email systems, and access permissions.
· Perform regular system backups and data recovery procedures.
· Install security updates, antivirus software, and firewall protection.
· Maintain IT inventory and records of hardware and software assets.
· Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related services.
· Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures.
· Prepare technical reports and documentation.
· Support meetings, presentations, and video conferencing systems.
· Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and hardware maintenance.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, email systems, and cloud services.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
