- The marketing officer is responsible for following the activities and business opportunities within the project. This includes the design and implementation of business plans intended to increase revenue based on strategic business analysis and achieving and exceeding the selected value chain.
- Organizing workshops, and training sessions to enhance beneficiaries’ productivity within projects.
- Developing business and operational development plans to enhance value chain input quality.
- Conduct field visits and markets and promote and explain products and activities for improvements.
- Identify value chains needs and provide accurate information for improvement
- Sharing market feedback and opportunities with project manager
- Overseeing sales transformations channels, and ensuring expansion of touchpoints (Flagships) and ensuring proper planning of value chain development,
- Ensuring of excellence of flagship products wherein flagships act as brand beacons showcasing the full range of improved value chain productions,
- Expert in Business Forecasts and market trends including variance analysis & Long-range planning of Commercial functions.
- Contributes to the analysis of selected on-farm, off-fam and non-farm value chains, with high interaction with beneficiaries.
- Assesses constraints and opportunities for investment along selected value chains, in relation to the existence of support services.
- linking of private sector stakeholders, including upstream and downstream value chain actors, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs), farmers, agribusiness actors, agro-industries and their associations, to strengthen value chain products.
- Contributes to the development of knowledge products, including analytical work and practical tools, related to agribusiness, marketing and value chain development.
- Develop platforms and designs to strengthen and scale up investments along the selected value chain
