Job Summary
The Security Operations Controller (SOC) is responsible for maintaining continuous oversight of security operations, ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and property, and acting as the central point for monitoring, communication, and coordination. The role provides real-time surveillance, incident response, access control, and reporting to prevent, detect, and manage security threats. By ensuring compliance with security procedures and facilitating effective communication between internal teams, management, and external emergency services, the SOC contributes to a secure, compliant, and professionally managed environment for the company and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
1) Monitoring and Surveillance

Surveillance Systems: Operate and monitor CCTV and other electronic surveillance equipment to detect security breaches or unusual activities.

Expected Result: All suspicious or unauthorized activities are identified and escalated in real time, reducing risks of theft, intrusion, or misconduct.

Alarms and Communications: Respond to alarms, and monitor and operate primary and secondary communication systems during emergencies.

Equipment Checks: Ensure surveillance equipment and other critical systems are operational.

Expected Result: 100% functionality of surveillance and alarm systems with immediate reporting and rectification of faults.
2) Patrols and Access Control

Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of assigned buildings and grounds to identify and report hazards, unauthorized persons, or security risks.

Expected Result: Secure and hazard-free environment maintained through visible deterrence and early detection of threats.

Visitor Management: Verify visitor and employee IDs, issue access badges, and maintain detailed logs of all entries and exits.

Perimeter Security: Inspect doors, windows, gates, and other entry points to ensure they are secure.

3) Emergency Response

Incident Response: Swiftly respond to alarms, fires, medical emergencies, and other security incidents.

Emergency Services Coordination: Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and medical personnel during emergencies.

4) Reporting and Record Keeping
