Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of pharmaceutical activities at provincial level.
Overall pharmacy management at provincial level.
In charge of systematic reporting system (base and HFs consumption, distribution narcotic psychotropic consumption, monthly inventory report, etc.).
Ensure that the data reports collected from the pharmacy every month are accurate before being shared with Kabul.
Make sure the RUD is respected and prepare timely feedbacks to HF in charge.
Proper distribution, management, and follow up of pharmacy stock (drugs and medical equipment) and other pharmacy activities.
Make sure that HN-TPO and MoPH pharmacy standards are respected overall at provincial level.
Prepare orders and follow up the process: quantification, procurement, reception, dispatch.
To achieve project goal as PWP and update progressions.
Objective 1: Supervision and support to health facility staff
To maintain rational use of medicine in provincial level in all HF.
To supervise pharmacist in health facilities and provide OJT to HF in charge on RUD, stock management, equipment maintenance.
To supervise reception of medicine, medical equipment and medical material.
To Implement IMAT at provincial stock and HFs level
Objective 2: Reporting and analytical activities
Regular collection of monthly base and health facilities consumption, reception, distribution data.
Supervise the data entry, check for inconsistencies and verify them.
Analyze the consumption of drugs and other pharmaceuticals and provide timely feedback to cluster supervisors and health facilities doctors/in charge.
Responsible to avoid break out of stock at HF level.
Draft quarterly PLIS (pharmaceutical logistic information system) report from BPHS and EPHS and send it to Kabul.
Objective 3: Pharmacy supply chain management
Make an annual order chronogram and quantification for BPHS & EPHS and distribution/supply plan, taking into consideration the seasonal constraints of Laghman province and with the cooperation of national pharmacy manager/Coordinator.
Follow up the order reception and timely update Kabul on the status.
Use monthly consumption reports from HF to address in advance additional necessary drug/medical equipment supply and as priority drug shortages.
Keep up-to-date and accurate equipment on broken, damaged medical equipment and plan/monitor timely repairs or disposal.
Objective 4: Stock Facility Management
Ensure adequate management of the pharmacy stock (drugs and medical equipment) in base and at health facility level.
Guarantee the pharmacy stock facilities are clean, well ordered and optimize the stock space and management according to expire date (FEFO/FIFO, donation for close to expire not used, and destruction for expired).
Supervise physical inventory of base pharmacy, and HFs pharmacy stock at the end of each month regularly and send it to Kabul.
Follow up and ensure that the manual stock cards are filled regularly and accurate at provincial stock and HFs level.
Manage stock movements from base stock to HF and back to keep accurate stock data management.
Plan and monitor the regular updating of medical equipment physical inventory at HFs level in each six months, in coordination with logistics department.
