Job Descriptions:

The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthesia services for surgical and obstetric procedures at the health facility. The position will ensure proper patient assessment, monitoring during anesthesia, and post-operative care while maintaining high clinical standards and adherence to national treatment guidelines.

Job Requirements:

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia for surgical, obstetric, and emergency procedures according to national and international clinical guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluate patient medical history before procedures.
  • Monitor patients during anesthesia and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
  • Manage post-anesthesia care and monitor recovery of patients after surgery.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care support when required.

Patient Safety and Quality of Care

  • Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
  • Maintain proper anesthesia records and documentation.
  • Ensure safe handling and administration of anesthetic drugs and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma in Anesthesia Technology or a related medical field from a recognized institute.

Experience

  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in anesthesia or surgical services.

Experience in BPHS or NGO health facilities is an advantage.
