Position Summary The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with internal controls, timely reporting, and effective supervision of site finance staff. The position requires strong technical knowledge of accounting systems, particularly QuickBooks, and the ability to support management with reliable financial information.

Prepare and post monthly adjusting journal entries for Kabul office and all site offices. Record and verify payments through vouchers in accordance with approved procedures. Review and check financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. Prepare daily cash reports for head office and sites, including cash closing. Review daily records of cash received and cash payments from all sites. Perform monthly reconciliation of invoices recorded in QuickBooks with fumigation and laboratory software systems. Reconcile general ledger accounts, including vendor and customer ledgers. Review and analyze monthly aging reports for accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prepare and submit financial position reports to management on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Supervise and provide technical guidance to Site Finance Officers in all finance-related areas. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures. Support audits and management reviews by providing required financial data and explanations.
