Job Descriptions:
  • Support the overall quality of the education project through regular coordination meetings, field monitoring visits, technical follow‑ups, and contribution to evaluations and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation, follow‑up, and tracking of project action plans, providing timely inputs and recommendations to support informed decision‑making by the Project Lead.
  • Monitor the progress of project activities in line with workplans and timelines, flagging delays, risks, or implementation gaps to the Project Lead.
  • Provide technical and coordination support for the implementation of education program components, working in close collaboration with project staff, partners, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project staff and local partners to facilitate smooth implementation of activities, ensuring alignment with approved project designs and education standards.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of education activities, ensuring approaches are well‑structured, context‑appropriate, and implemented with a strong focus on quality and learning outcomes.
  • Support basic program and budget tracking by reviewing expenditure data, cash flow information, and partner financial documentation, and sharing observations with the Project Lead.
  • Assist the Project Lead in ensuring that project activities comply with donor requirements, organizational policies, and education quality standards, including contribution to audit and compliance processes as required.
  • Support the implementation of quality assurance and monitoring mechanisms, ensuring activities are delivered effectively and according to agreed schedules.
  • Identify and monitor programmatic risks and operational challenges, and regularly brief the Project Lead with clear, evidence‑based updates and recommendations.
  • Contribute to reviewing internal processes and procedures related to program implementation, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting practical adjustments.
  • Support data collection, data quality, and data management related to education activities and donor reporting, providing analysis and summaries to inform project planning and reporting.
  • Promote awareness of, and compliance with, the organization’s Mandatory Reporting Policy, and promptly report any observed or reported concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze programmatic data and indicators, sharing accurate and timely information with the Project Lead for reporting and review.
  • Support the consolidation and verification of partner reports, checking for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with agreed indicators and reporting formats.
  • Liaise with internal support departments (Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Partnerships) to facilitate routine program processes and ensure timely follow‑up on documentation and requests.
  • Maintain and update organized project documentation and data repositories, ensuring information is accessible for reporting, learning, and decision‑making.
  • Perform any other education‑related duties assigned by the Project Lead, in line with project needs and organizational priorities.

Partner Capacity Building:

  • Provide on the job, planned or design orientations for partners staff in case technical needs identified in operations, performance and activities of the project.
Job Requirements:
  • Graduated from relevant Faculty, preferably Education, Science or Literature and or related fields.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a officer role and supporting position within relevant field of a NGO or INGOs organization, preferably with education project management experience
  • Fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto, written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and capacity to deal with different rural communities with varied political/socio-economic and educational background
  • Good supervisory, leadership, analytical and troubleshooting skill
  • Solid knowledge of planning, budgeting and report writing
  •  Familiar with design, evaluation, and monitoring of education projects
  • Computer knowledge at an operational level, IRC uses Ms Office standard software
  •  Ready to work, live and travel in an intricate and strenuous environment
