Afghan Youth Education and Health Organization known as (AYEHO) is an independent, non- profitable, nonpartisan and non-governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan. AYEHO provides support to youth and children who work on the streets, orphans, and children in conflict with law, children with disabilities and their families in Afghanistan.

AYEHO established in 2018, headquartered in Kabul with two provincial offices and properly structured and active business and operational set ups in all 34 provinces of the country, has arguably served the most marginalized and vulnerable children, youth and families in the most disadvantaged and remote areas of the country. The emergence of AYEHO was based on the goals of securing the rights of most deprived and vulnerable communities through promotion of child rights and women rights. Enhancing access to basic health services, quality primary education and socioeconomic development facilities are among the integral parts of AYEHO. Based on these goals, the AYEHO mission is to empower and improve the quality of life of marginalized and vulnerable communities in less developed parts of the country. This mission is to be accomplished by launching sustainable and replicable projects as well as building partnerships. By utilizing valuable skills and resources such as participatory research, development, knowledge management, and advocacy, that will tangibly bring about change into the lives of women and children.

Job Descriptions:

Purpose of the Position

The Master Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering facilitator trainings, providing on-the-job coaching, monitoring teaching quality, and ensuring that all SBL classes are delivered in line with UNESCO-approved curricula and minimum standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Training and Capacity Building

  • Lead Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions in coordination with UNESCO.
  • Design and deliver pre-service training for Skilled based Literacy SBL facilitators and District Community Mobilizers.
  • Conduct in-service and refresher trainings during project implementation.
  • Integrate gender equality, inclusion, safeguarding, and PSEA/SEA-SH principles into all trainings.

Academic and Technical Support

  • Provide regular coaching and mentoring to facilitators.
  • Support facilitators in lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and learner assessment.
  • Ensure proper use of Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs).
  • Identify learning gaps and recommend corrective actions.

Quality Assurance and Monitoring

  • Monitor class delivery and teaching quality against UNESCO minimum standards.
  • Review attendance records, lesson plans, and learner progress.
  • Provide written feedback and recommendations to facilitators and project management.

Coordination and Reporting

  • Coordinate closely with Program Manager, project officer, M&E Officer, and Community Mobilizers.
  • Prepare training and monitoring reports, including observations and recommendations.
Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, TVET, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in adult education, literacy, TVET, or skills development programs.
  • Proven experience as a trainer of trainers or senior trainer.
  • Experience working with NGOs or UN-funded projects is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Solid understanding of adult learning methodologies.
  • Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.

Language

  • Knowledge of Dari/Pashto.
  • Fluency in English is required.
