Job Summary:
The Protection Case Worker is responsible for implementing the full Protection Case Management (PCM) cycle for vulnerable individuals facing protection risks. This role focuses on providing standardized, high-quality support to persons with specific needs (PwSN) by identifying risks, developing tailored response plans, and ensuring access to essential services through a rights-based approach.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and register individuals at risk of protection violations through outreach, internal referrals, and community-based identification.
- Conduct detailed, individual-level assessments to identify protection threats, vulnerabilities, and existing coping mechanisms.Work directly with the client to develop an Individual Case Plan that outlines specific interventions, goals, and timeframes.
- Facilitate access to services (legal, medical, shelter, or material assistance) through a robust referral tracking system, ensuring the client receives the required support.
- Conduct regular follow-up visits or calls to monitor the implementation of the case plan and evaluate the effectiveness of the services provided.
- Ensure cases are closed or transferred based on established criteria and when protection goals have been met.
- Adhere to strict data protection protocols, ensuring that all physical and digital files are stored securely and shared only via "need-to-know" principles.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files using standardized PCM tools
- Prepare periodic qualitative and quantitative reports highlighting case progress, challenges, and emerging protection trends in the field.
- Assist in the ongoing mapping of service providers to ensure the referral pathway remains current and effective.
- Liaise with other NGOs, local authorities, and stakeholders to advocate for the rights of the individual and resolve barriers to service access.
- Provide emotional and practical support to survivors throughout the case management process.
- Contribute to the development of project reports and other relevant documentation.
- Build relationships with community members and key informants to identify and respond to protection cases.
- Ensure all work aligns with the core protection principles: Safety & Dignity, Meaningful Access, Accountability, and Participation & Empowerment.
- Constantly assess the impact of interventions to prevent any unintended negative consequences for the client or their community.
- Participate in relevant trainings and workshops to enhance professional skills.
