Job Description

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications to patients, ensuring proper dosage and safety, providing drug-related information and advice, and supporting the overall pharmaceutical needs of the hospital. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, and collaborating with healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.

Location: Sardar Mohammad Dawod Khan Hospital
Reports to: Pharmacy Manager / Hospital Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.

  • Provide patient counseling on proper medication use and side effects.

  • Manage pharmacy inventory, monitor stock, and handle expired medicines.

  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff for optimal patient care.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal standards.

 

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) required; Pharm.D preferred.

  • Valid pharmacist license.

  • 3–5 years of experience in hospital, clinical, or retail pharmacy.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug interactions.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
