Job Descriptions:

Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Lead the day-to-day financial operations, including payroll processing, invoicing, expenditures, and general journal entries.
  • Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, checks, bank transactions, and invoices.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop and analyze management reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in financial modeling, data analysis, and ad-hoc reporting for senior leadership.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

3. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, company policies, and Afghan regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with corporate reporting obligations.

4. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

5. Treasury & Reconciliation

  • Perform periodic bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee cash flow management and liquidity planning.

6. Inventory & Fixed Assets

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and fixed assets in coordination with operational departments.
  • Oversee depreciation and amortization schedules.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Respond to financial inquiries from internal departments and external clients.
  • Collaborate with procurement, HR, and operations teams to ensure financial alignment.

  • Comply with the Company's internal policies and regulations.
  • Uphold sustainability principles by practicing environmentally friendly approaches in job-related activities.
  • Fulfil roles and responsibilities as outlined in the Company’s response, control, and recovery systems for emergencies and business continuity.
  • Abide by safety, occupational health, environmental, and business continuity policies and regulations issued by the Company and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure personal safety, as well as the safety of colleagues and the public, by following regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Promptly report accidents, occupational injuries, and environmental impacts in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Perform any additional tasks that may arise from time to time to meet operational and organizational requirements.
Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have a bachelor degree specializing in finance/accounting or similar field

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial compliance, budget management, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).

Competencies Required:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in third-party and vendor management, including contract review and supplier evaluation.
  • Ability to lead financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for effective reporting to senior management and external parties.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Any certification in accounting, auditing, or corporate finance is an advantage.

Language skills: Fluent in English, Dari/Pashto – written and spoken
