Saba University received an official license from the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education on 30/01/1395 and was registered under serial number 124 and registration number 57 with the directorate of private universities and institutions. The university was inaugurated in Kandahar city on 23/2/1395. The inauguration ceremony was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, numerous academic figures, and students' parents. Saba University provides higher education services in numerous fields, such as Computer Science and Economics. The first Kankor examination was held in the presence of a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education on 31/4/1395. Saba University of higher education currently has students from 15 provinces, including Kandahar, Uruzgan, Balkh, Baghlan, Takhar, Paktika, Zabul, Ghazni, Ghor, Kabul, Laghman, Nangarhar, Wardak, Herat, and Helmand.
