Under the direct supervision of Project Manager, the Project Assistant will be responsible for supervising and supporting the implementation of health programs in a designated area, with a focus on doctors, nurses, nutrition, and vaccination services. This position will ensure the smooth delivery of healthcare services to women and children, adhering to national and international standards in the context of Afghanistan’s healthcare system. The role involves close collaboration with healthcare staff, community leaders, and local authorities to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in a culturally sensitive manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in day-to-day management and projects implementation
- Ensure timely submission of internal and external reports of health facility in accordance with the Tdh procedures.
- Conduct regular (50 %) supportive supervisory visits to health facilities
- Support the Health and Child protection Project Manager in ensuring the sound implementation of the project in health facility.
- Ensure quality services delivery and support MEAL Unit in identifying and collective quality indicators.
- Ensure medicine and medical supplies are identified, procured, stored and dispatched to project locations in a timely manner.
- Act as focal point for monitoring of referral system from the community to the health facilities.
- Provide technical support technical staff of the health project including medical doctors, midwives and nutrition counsellors while visiting the health facilities.
- To conduct supportive supervisions from health facilities and mobile health teams and provide support to health staff.
- Write up the report the supportive supervision report and prepare the corrective action plan and do close follow up of the action with health faciltiy staff.
- Prepare Monthly and quarterly reports, analysis or mapping of the health context per direction of the Project Manager.
- Ensure the delivery of collective health staff time sheets and submit to HR department to ensure timely payment of staff salaries.
- Responsible for office filing system and documentation.
- Support with the preparation and organization of trainings, workshops, and another event
