Job Summary:
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and supervision of structural components for the road and infrastructure project. The position ensures all structural works—such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundations—are technically sound, cost-effective, and executed according to design specifications, codes, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze structural design drawings, calculations, and specifications for project structures.
- Supervise the construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other reinforced concrete structures.
- Verify compliance of materials, workmanship, and methods with approved structural designs and technical standards.
- Perform structural analysis and load calculations for project components.
- Identify structural issues during construction and provide technical solutions in coordination with the Chief Engineer.
- Coordinate with the AutoCAD/Design Engineers and QC team to ensure technical accuracy of all drawings.
- Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS), material quantity estimations, and structural detailing.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure implementation matches approved structural plans.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, design revisions, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure safety standards and engineering best practices are applied at all stages of the project.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, supervisors, and project management to ensure timely execution.
