Supervises: Education Specialists, Senior Education Officers, Trainers, Social Mobilizers, M&E Officer, and support staff.

Purpose of the Role
The Education Project Manager will lead and oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of education projects. The role ensures that project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and according to organizational quality standards, while promoting inclusive, safe, and equitable access to education.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Leadership

Develop and implement project work plans, timelines, and budgets.

Ensure smooth coordination and collaboration with education stakeholders, including government authorities, NGOs, and community representatives.

Lead regular project review meetings and adjust plans as needed.
Technical Oversight

Provide technical guidance to project staff and ensure alignment with national education policies and international standards.

Support curriculum development, teacher training, and innovative approaches to improve learning outcomes.

Ensure that gender equality, child protection, and inclusive education are integrated into project activities.
Team Management & Capacity Building

Supervise and mentor project staff, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.

Oversee recruitment, orientation, and performance management of education staff.

Foster teamwork and a supportive working environment.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

Work with M&E staff to ensure effective data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Track progress against indicators and ensure evidence-based decision-making.

Prepare high-quality narrative and financial reports for donors and management.
Community Engagement & Advocacy

Strengthen relationships with communities to promote local ownership of education initiatives.

Represent the organization in education coordination forums, donor meetings, and working groups.

Advocate for education rights, especially for marginalized groups such as girls, children with disabilities, and displaced populations.
Financial & Compliance Management

Monitor project expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets and donor regulations.

Approve financial requests within delegated authority and maintain accountability systems.

Ensure adherence to organizational policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards.
