• Conduct 6 hours of daily class sessions for children, followed by 2 hours for lesson planning and preparation of ECD-related activities and materials.
• Participate in Peer Learning Circles (bi-monthly) to enhance professional knowledge and practices.
• Create new educational activities, stories, songs, poems, and materials tailored to children's abilities, progress, and program objectives.
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and appealing classroom environment, both inside and outside.
• Greet and communicate warmly with children and their parents.
• Keep daily records of children's progress and attendance.
• Engage with children to encourage active participation in activities.
• Provide a warm, safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children.
• Foster children's growth and exploration of skills, in line with curriculum objectives and their individual choices.
• Design, implement, and document daily and weekly lesson plans.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to build a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
• Ensure the confidentiality of all privileged information.
• Record and file children's personal information gathered during enrollment and surveys.
• Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, seminars, and exposure visits, both locally and outside the city when planned.
• Prepare and conduct parenting sessions according to ECD program schedules.
• Maintain open communication and strong relationships with parents.
• Participate in community surveys when required.
• Invite parents (especially mothers) to observe their children's classroom activities.
• Meet with ECD facilitators weekly to share class activities and ideas.
• Support parents in easing their children's transitions from home to ECD and from ECD to primary school.
• Inform the hub coordinator, facilitator, or Regional Officer, ECD of any classroom incidents for further action (e.g., attendance issues, dropouts, or other academic/administrative matters).
• Provide a monthly inventory list of classroom teaching materials to the coordinator.
• Safeguard ECD materials to ensure their longevity.
• Submit a weekly list of teaching items that need repair or replacement to the coordinator.
• Share lesson plans, students' progress records, meeting minutes, and other academic-related documents with the facilitator or Regional ECD Coordinator as needed.
• Implement any other relevant tasks assigned by the Regional Coordinator, ECD, master trainers, and hub coordinators.
