About HEALTHO:

Health Efficient, Accessible, Long-Lasting and Treatment at Homeland Organization (HEALTHO) is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political Afghan national organization established and registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2012.

The purpose of HEALTHO is to contribute to the development of Afghan society through providing health and education services, arranging capacity building programs and imparting vocational skills training, ensure food security and emergency relief assistance in times of natural or man-made calamities.

Job Descriptions:

The Trainer is responsible for ensuring quality training through developing training materials, training effective modules, curriculum, conducting training, class management, and reporting.

Job Requirements:
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with local communities and project participants.
  • Deliver engaging and practical training sessions on weaving and curtain making, including;
    - Hand weaving techniques (traditional and modern)
    - Use of frames, and other weaving tools
    - Fabric cutting, stitching, and finishing methods for curtain making
    - Measurement, fitting, and installation of curtains
  • Teach design transfer methods, fabric/material selection, and modern techniques for curtain making.
  • Guide trainees on producing high-quality woven products and curtains that meet local market demand.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of training tools, raw materials, and equipment.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback for skill improvement.
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and small business skills to support income generation.

 

  • Keep records of student attendance, progress, and training outcomes.
  • Maintain all equipment and ensure the safety and hygiene of the training area.
  • Make plan and conduct the training and class management.
  • Develop training effective module and curriculums.
  • Develop training material
  • Develop training operation kit (in-kind) for the participants.
  • Ensure the materials and its proper use in training center and classes to increase the involvement of teachers & students for ensuring the quality training
  • Participation in the meetings.
  • Communicate with Project Manager for support to update report as per project requirements. 
  • Develop sector report in the end of training session.
  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the program by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Fluency in Pashto is a must, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in the Weaving and Curtain Making and Islamic Literacy
  • Ability to arrange events and provide training
