Position Summary

The CFS / Kindergarten Caregiver will provide support to children and babies of project beneficiaries (BNFs), ensuring a safe, engaging, and child-friendly environment. The role is essential for promoting early childhood development, facilitating educational and recreational activities, and supporting beneficiaries by providing professional childcare. The caregiver will create a supportive and structured environment that fosters learning, growth, and emotional well-being for young children.

Job Descriptions

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate daily activities and learning programs for children, including play-based learning, storytelling, art, music, and early literacy skills.
  • Provide direct care and supervision for babies and young children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
  • Ensure the Child-Friendly Space is safe, clean, and well-organized. Manage and maintain toys, learning materials, and equipment appropriately.
  • Support children in developing social, emotional, and cognitive skills through structured and unstructured activities.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for children, promoting positive behavior, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure children’s needs are understood and addressed. Provide guidance on child care, hygiene, and early education practices.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance, activities, incidents, and progress reports. Provide updates to project management on challenges, achievements, and recommendations for program improvement.
Job Requirements:
  • Completion of high school education and relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. Additional certifications in child care, preschool teaching, or first aid are advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in child care, kindergarten teaching, or early childhood education. Experience in community-based settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development principles, safe child care practices, and age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with children, parents, and community members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage daily schedules, resources, and activities effectively.
