Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The Chief of Staff provides high-level support to the CEO and senior leadership of the group of companies by overseeing strategic initiatives, managing executive priorities, ensuring effective coordination between subsidiaries, and driving organizational performance. The role acts as a trusted advisor, ensuring smooth communication, alignment of business objectives, and efficient decision-making at the executive level.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the CEO in developing, implementing, and monitoring the group’s strategic objectives, annual business plans, and performance frameworks.
  • Manage the executive office operations, including correspondence, reports, and communications with subsidiaries, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO, subsidiary heads, and external partners, ensuring timely communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Coordinate and track progress of strategic projects across all companies within the group, ensuring timely delivery and reporting.
  • Oversee preparation of executive papers, management reports, briefing notes, and high-level presentations for executive and stakeholder meetings.
  • Review and analyze business and financial reports, providing recommendations to the CEO for decision-making.
  • Support governance and compliance processes, ensuring all subsidiaries follow corporate policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and integration to improve efficiency, productivity, and problem-solving.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor performance, and emerging risks, and brief the CEO on potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with the group’s vision and brand.
  • Manage high-priority projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, ensuring proper planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to subsidiary leadership teams to ensure strategic alignment with the group’s overall objectives.
  • Represent the CEO in meetings, conferences, and events, as required.
  • Supervise and mentor executive office staff, ensuring professional management of administrative and secretarial functions.
  • Drive organizational culture initiatives, employee engagement, and leadership development across subsidiaries.
  • Lead crisis management support for the executive team, ensuring quick and effective responses to critical issues.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with government bodies, regulators, partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO on policy, operational, and people-related issues.
  • Ensure follow-up on action points and decisions taken at executive meetings.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the CEO.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in corporate management, strategy, or executive leadership support (experience in a group of companies or diversified business environment preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and executive-level operations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • High level of proficiency in business writing, reporting, and presentation.
  • Fluency in English and Pashto / Dari required.
