General Responsibilitiesمسؤلیت های عمومی:
The Hygiene Promoter will work in the catchment area of MHTs and support its implementation by conducting awareness-raising/ education sessions on health and hygiene-related domains/topics for community elders (male and female) and PWD (people with disabilities) with direct support from community mobilizers. The Health/Hygiene promoters are responsible to carry out all Hygiene education training, WASH-related KAP surveys, sanitation facilities, Hygiene kit distribution, and working on holding sessions on personal, and environmental hygiene education and health-related topics such as breastfeeding and health-related disease. (Outbreak disease during outbreak season)
Objective 1: Hygiene Promotion activities
Activities/main duties
• Participate in the development and adaptation of IEC material, following MOPH standards and guidelines
• Organize health/hygiene promotion sessions using the material available, and adapting his/her communication to the audience (adults, children,)
• Holding sessions on personal and environmental hygiene education.
• Organize demonstrations of best practices linked to hygiene behaviors
• Record attendance of hygiene promotion sessions, and health/hygiene kit distribution as of guidance from the health/hygiene supervisor
• Report any challenge and issue to the WASH officer
• Documentation of specific success stories link to the Health/WASH activates
Objective 2: HKs distribution follow up
Activities/main duties
• Monitor and support the distribution of hygiene kits in the community.
• Provided information on the proper use of hygiene kits
• Provide support to the MEAL team during the PDM (Post distribution monitoring)
• Participate in the hygiene kit distribution process
• Identification of beneficiaries for hygiene kits O&M kits, water kits, sanitation kits, and health kits distribution as of criteria
Objective 3: Community outreach
Activities/main duties
• Creates linkages between PU-AMI and host communities (Elders, Shuras, CDCs), identifies leaders of the refugee/displaced community, and ensures proper communication through field visits and regular meetings
• Informs community representatives about the planned schedule of MHT visits Collaboration with the District Health Officer and/or community health workers to facilitate the outreach to communities
• Organizes meetings with local leaders, and beneficiaries, collects their feedback, and reports complaints
• Training of community elders/HH on hygiene messages
• Provide information on hand washing at five critical times, and provide the beneficiaries with hygiene behavior change during the project life cycle.
• Passed environmental health and water sanitation messages to the related community.
Ensure the hygiene implementation work through meeting with community elders, and ensure the proper communication between HF and the community.
• Facilitate WaSH-related KAP survey.
• Assist with the hygiene baseline and end-line survey for each selected area.
