Position Summary:
The Brand Protection Officer / Field Investigator is responsible for detecting, investigating, and reporting counterfeit or unauthorized Toyota Engine Oil and Lubricant products in the Afghan market.
This role plays a critical part in protecting the Toyota brand image, maintaining customer trust, and supporting sales efforts by ensuring market integrity and compliance.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct field inspections across various provinces to identify counterfeit or unauthorized products imports.
Gather market intelligence through regular visits to engine oil shops, lubricants shops, auto parts shops, wholesale distributors, and service centers.
Build relationships with retailers, mechanics, and trade networks to encourage reporting of counterfeit activity.
Collect and document physical evidence (samples, packaging, product details, photos, videos) of suspected counterfeit products.
Organize and maintain accurate case files, inspection reports, and visual documentation.
Liaise with government authorities, including:
Ministry of Commerce & Industry
Local police departments/officeso
Customs and border control
Support or initiate official complaints and follow up on enforcement processes in coordination with his line manager and then with local authorities.
Issue formal warnings or notices to sellers involved in unauthorized or counterfeit sales, in line with company policy.
Monitor market trends and report on emerging counterfeit risks.
Train and support other investigators or staff on product identification and brand protection standards.
Assist in the preparation of public awareness content, legal documents, warning letters, and internal communication drafts.
Submit weekly/monthly activity reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the line manager or company leadership.
