Job Description:

As part of efforts to promote youth employment and digital entrepreneurship, Rupani Foundation in partnership with UNWFP is implementing a Web Development Trainer course to equip youth and women with in-demand skills in mobile application design, development, and deployment. The Trainer will play a key role in delivering hands-on, project-based learning and mentorship.

General Responsibilities:

The Web Development Trainer is responsible for equipping trainees with full-stack web development skills—covering both front-end and back-end technologies—to enable them to create responsive, dynamic, and scalable web applications. The role includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, with a focus on job-readiness and freelancing.

Specific Duties:

• Deliver practical and theoretical training in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Redux, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Teach Git version control, full-stack development workflows, and Agile methodologies.
•  Guide learners through deploying web apps using cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
•  Conduct code reviews, debugging workshops, and hands-on development sessions.
•  Ensure understanding of responsive web design, accessibility standards, and UI/UX principles.
• Oversee trainees' final projects—from design to deployment—ensuring quality and functionality.
• Develop and maintain training materials, code samples, and resource libraries. Collaborate with career advisors to prepare trainees for freelancing or job opportunities.
• Submit weekly/monthly progress reports and contribute to curriculum refinement.
• Coordinate with M&E team to assess learning outcomes and impact.
• Monitor attendance, evaluate performance, and offer constructive feedback.
•  Enforce a professional, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
•  Maintain proper functioning of ICT lab equipment and ensure classroom readiness.
• Address behavioral issues and report serious violations to management.
• Participate in joint sessions or integrated projects with other trainers as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in full-stack web development or software training.

Other Skills

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
•  Experience with Git, REST APIs, and cloud deployment platforms (AWS/Azure).
•  Knowledge of accessibility, UI/UX design, and mobile-first principles.
•  Strong facilitation and mentorship skills for beginner to intermediate learners.
•  Previous experience as a trainer or coding mentor preferred.
• Familiarity with freelancing platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, etc.
•  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; English is an asset.
•  High level of patience, motivation, and cultural sensitivity.
