Job Descriptions:

Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
Ensure materials quality and share with project manager for approving and finalizing.
Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
Diagnosing, and troubleshooting equipment as required.
Prepare construction implementation report for donor and ACDO main office.
Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
Ensure the Project Manager that, the Project is implementing based on approved drawings and specifications.
Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings with contractor.
Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
Estimate construction materials for project site.
Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects.
Contributing technical expertise to project drawings and designs.
Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections.
Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Overseeing construction engineering processes.
Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget.
Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.
Any other tasks assigned by line manager.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of four (5) years as a Site Engineer for Construction Projects in Afghanistan.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
have a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience in working with government at national and sub-national levels, UN organizations, or any international development or aid agencies.
Experience in the relevant or similar positions in Construction projects is required.
Knowledge of Engineering Software such as AUTO CAD, Primavera P6.
