Job Descriptions:
  • Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
  • Ensure materials quality and share with project manager for approving and finalizing.
  • Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
  • Diagnosing, and troubleshooting equipment as required.
  • Prepare construction implementation report for donor and ACDO main office.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
  • Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Ensure the Project Manager that, the Project is implementing based on approved drawings and specifications.
  • Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
  • Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings with contractor.
  • Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
  • Estimate construction materials for project site.
  • Managing the planning and design stages of construction projects.
  • Contributing technical expertise to project drawings and designs.
  • Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections.
  • Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Overseeing construction engineering processes.
  • Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.
  • Any other tasks assigned by line manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of four (5) years as a Site Engineer for Construction Projects in Afghanistan.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • have a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in working with government at national and sub-national levels, UN organizations, or any international development or aid agencies.
  • Experience in the relevant or similar positions in Construction projects is required.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Software such as AUTO CAD, Primavera P6.
