Job Descriptions:
  • Development and implement a structured training curriculum that addresses the foundational and advanced techniques in thread dying for Beneficiaries.
  • Integrate cultural relevance and market trends into the curriculum to ensure that the skills taught are applicable and feasible for beginner level to advanced level.
  • Conduct training sessions that engage participants in practical, hands-on activities.
  • Ensure that appropriate tools, materials, and equipment are available for training sessions. Teach participants about the proper care and use of weaving tools and machinery.
  • Act as a mentor and guide to beneficiaries, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Promote collaboration among participants.
  • Help beneficiaries understand market demands and encourage them to market their finished products effectively.
  • Train learners on the correct use of chemicals and natural dyes, with emphasis on health and environmental safety.
  • Ensure availability and maintenance of dyeing equipment (dye vats, measuring tools, heating units).
  • Strong understanding of color theory and fiber-dye compatibility.
  • Provide regular updates to project management on training outcomes, challenges faced, and recommendations for program improvements. 
  • Operate and monitor dyeing machines to ensure optimal performance and quality of dyed fabrics.
  • Prepare and mix dyes according to specifications for various textile materials from internal and external orders.
  • Conduct pre-dyeing and post-dyeing inspections to assess fabric quality and color accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all dyeing operations.
  • Teach thread dyeing techniques including natural, synthetic, resist dyeing, tie-dye, and space dyeing.
  • Demonstrate the preparation and application of dyes on various natural and synthetic fibers.
  • Instruct on color mixing, fastness testing, and post-dyeing finishing.
  • Design and implement a structured training curriculum for beginner to advanced levels.
  • Develop visual aids, dye sample books, and process manuals for trainee reference.
  • Integrate traditional/local dyeing knowledge with modern practices.
  • The thread dyeing Trainer will be responsible for operating and tending to machinery that bleaches, shrinks, washes, dyes, or finishes textiles, synthetic, or glass fibers. This role requires a keen eye for color matching, a strong understanding of dyeing techniques, and the ability to maintain quality control throughout the dyeing process. Ideal candidates will possess hands-on experience with dyeing equipment and a commitment to safety and precision in textile production. in this career include working to weigh, measure, and mix dyes so that the resulting color is accurate. Operate dyeing equipment and inspect the final product after it dries to ensure quality and to make sure that any patterns required in the fabric are visible.
