Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
Year of Experience: At least 5-3 years of experience in financial management, monitoring, or accounting in a non-profit or international development setting. Experience in managing finances for donor-funded projects is preferred in the NGO sector.
Technical & Personal Skills: Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting in accordance with donor requirements and Afghan national standards.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel) and financial analysis tools.
Knowledge of the financial regulations and compliance requirements specific to donor agencies and NGOs.
Experience in financial forecasting and cash flow management.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
Demonstrable understanding of and experience in gender issues and women’s rights, including relevant frameworks including the Women, Peace and Security Agenda
Previous experience in a non-profit or international development organization, preferably with a focus on women’s empowerment and WLOs Knowledge of the WLOs, is highly desirable.
Finance Management experience with planning, facilitation and report writing skills required.

Experience in networking and building partnerships with local networks, working groups and clusters.
Ability and willingness to travel within Afghanistan and nationally as required. Must be willing to travel to sub-offices in Afghanistan as needed.
