About Momin Afghan Microfinance institution:

Momin Afghan Microfinance Institution is a newly established Islamic Microfinance Institution providing Islamic Financing to low-income individuals or groups who otherwise wouldn't have access to traditional financial services. The primary goal of Momin Afghan Microfinance is to help people become self-sufficient by providing them with the financial tools they need to start or grow small businesses, manage their finances, and improve their overall economic well-being and earn Halal income through Halal products according to Sharia rules and principles.

Job Descriptions:

Lead, motivate, and develop the operations team to achieve the institution’s strategic goals.
Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that all processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the institution’s objectives and growth plans.
Prepare and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource utilization.
Conduct regular trainings to the operation team on marketing, client/business appraisal and due diligence, KYC, financing process flow and delinquency management
Prepare staff bonus and incentives based on their performances (disbarment and repayments)
Review financing files before financing committees and suggest changes to the relevant staff
Participate in financing committees
Select and propose new locations for branch opening
Develop or amend financing policies
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and effectiveness of operational activities.
Ensure high-quality service delivery through regular audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the institution.
Implement and manage technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
Ensure all operations comply with local laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Enhance the customer experience by optimizing service delivery processes and addressing any operational issues that may arise.
Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the financial services or microfinance sector.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in using operations management software and tools.
Proficiency in English and local language(s) is required.
