The Hygiene Promoter position will be based in Malistan and Ajiristan districts of Ghazni province and will have regular travels to target communities, where you'll spearhead community engagement initiatives, conduct hygiene education sessions, distribute materials, and monitor impact to enhance public health outcomes. With a focus on behavior change communication and collaboration with local stakeholders, this role requires a 12-class certificate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 2 years of experience, strong communication skills in Dari or Pashto, and a commitment to humanitarian principles. Main Responsibilities:
Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with local communities, leaders, and stakeholders to understand their hygiene practices, needs, and challenges.
Hygiene Education: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and awareness sessions and campaigns on various hygiene topics such as handwashing, sanitation, menstrual hygiene management, and safe water practices.
Behavior Change Communication: Develop and implement innovative communication strategies to promote positive hygiene behaviors and encourage community participation.
Material Distribution: Coordinate the distribution of hygiene kits, materials, and supplies to households and community centers, ensuring equitable access for all beneficiaries.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Collect data, conduct KAP surveys, and monitor the impact of hygiene promotion activities on behavior change and public health outcomes.
Reporting: Prepare timely reports, documentation, and case studies to showcase the effectiveness of hygiene promotion interventions and share lessons learned.
