Conduct training needs assessments and develop a structured training calendar tailored to carpet weaving artisans and trainees.
• Deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) programs on traditional and contemporary carpet weaving techniques, including loom operation, pattern design, knotting, dyeing, and quality assurance.
• Organize hands-on workshops, refresher courses, and skill-building sessions for communities, artisans, and partner organizations.
• Provide on-site coaching and mentorship during weaving activities to ensure mastery of techniques and troubleshoot challenges.
• Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of carpet weaving projects, including material sourcing, design execution, and product evaluation.
• Assist in organizing community exhibitions, cultural fairs, and market linkages to promote locally woven products and generate income opportunities.
• Collaborate with artisans to innovate designs, integrate eco-friendly materials, and preserve Afghanistan’s carpet-weaving heritage.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, address technical issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
