The CBNP master trainer will follow the community based nutrition intervention (CBNI) project implementation phase to provide technical support to Community Health Workers (CHWs) in all health posts of Paktika province. Also CBNP master trainer will supervise MNP and WIFS campaign as well. More over She/he is responsible to generate Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual, and project reports on capacity building activities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support community based nutrition intervention (CBNI) phase in all health post of Paktika province with close coordination and collaboration of provincial nutrition officer and community-based health care (CBHC) officer.
  • Develop CBNI implementation phase support plan in coordination with the project manager and operational team to ensure timely availability of resources for conducting the planned activities.
  • Conduct regular supervision from all health posts of Paktika to provide technical support to community health workers on CBNI activities during conducting community mobilization session.
  • Conduct supervision from the MNP and WIFS campaign at health post level and share the report of that with project manager.
  • Conducting supportive supervision from the projects sites and provide technical support to the targeted staff Support project coordinator in developing monthly activity plans and reports.
  • Prepare conducted technical supervision report and share it with CBNI project manager and CBHC department of BPHS implementer of Paktika province. 
  • Establish good coordination mechanism with BPHS implementer CBHC department staff as well with community health supervisor for better implementation of the project.
  • Supportive Supervision from the GM session during CBNP implementation.
  • Responsible for advance preparation of trainings in  coordination with CBNI project manager and logistics officer to ensure availability of facilitator kits for master trainer, complete food demonstration kit and community kit at each health post level.
  • Organize and conduct community mobilization session for community health supervisors and community health workers at health facility level to provide (growth monitoring nutrition & cooking demonstration etc.). 
  • Prepare monthly action plan and narrative report from monthly conducted activities.
  • Be prepared to travel to remote areas. The master trainers will spend approximately 80% of their working time in the field.
Job Requirements:
  • A male applicant must hold an MD, Public Health degree, or Nursing qualification with relevant experience; a female applicant should have an MD or Midwifery qualification. Public health-related courses are preferred. 
  • Thorough knowledge of nutrition SOPs, especially CBNP guidelines. 
  • Experience in teaching, reporting, monitoring, supervision, and coordination.
  • Completion of CBNP TOT training with at least two years of experience in MIYCN/CBNP training with national or international organizations. 
  • Familiarity with data reporting, collection, analysis, and interpretation. 
  • Fluency in Pashto and Dari, with good English skills. 
  • Willingness to travel to remote districts and villages in Paktika province. 
  • Preference for couples or applicants with a Mahram (chaperone).
  • Proficient computing kills including word processing, spreadsheet design and PPT presentation.
