Humanitarian Actions for the people of Afghanistan (HAPA) has been working since 1991 in the southern region (including Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul & Urozgan provinces). HAPA has main Office in Kandahar province located in Shahri Naw Chowk, District # 6 and sub-offices in (Helmand, Zabul, Nimroz, & Uruzgan provinces). HAPA has 50 permanent qualified staff members in the four offices of the southern region. HAPA remained the implementing partner (IP) for the following UN agencies (including UNODC, UN-WFP, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNOCHA) and international agencies such as (JICA, CIDA, DAI, and IOM in the past). HAPA has implemented numerous aid projects with the subject organizations in the past more than two decades. 

Job Summary:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate fluently, both orally and in writing, in English, Pashto, and Dari. Must translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms for a non-technical audience.
• Proposal Writing: Ability to write proposal text from scratch and modify boilerplate text to meet specific RFP needs.
• Software Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and related software for proposal usage.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Work Under Pressure: Ability to work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
• Research Skills: Proficient in using the Internet for searching RFPs.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
• Outstanding knowledge of proposal writing.
• Minimum of 3 years experience writing business proposals for non-profit organizations.
• Understanding of need assessment requirements for technical proposals.
• Ability to create strong working relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
