Job Summary:
Rana University seeks a dynamic, creative, and talented Library Manager professional to join its Capital Solutions team based in Kabul. You will work with a team of specialists to design, implement, and evaluate a wide range of staffing and workforce projects. Specifically, the assignment will involve developing the library system, liaising with employers and clients, and designing innovative Library tools and resources. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, so adaptability, flexibility, experience, and innovative thinking are highly desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating and leading the Library of Rana University.
- Handled the performance of developing the library system.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
- Selects, evaluates, and organizes library materials of various types, including books, CDs, periodicals and documents.
- Review and improvement of the library administrative processes.
- Liaison with national/ international library management.
- Reviews and recommends library materials for conversion to electronic format.
- Analyze, implement, and evaluate library programs and services standards and procedures.
- Promote the role of the library and the range of resources students can access through the library to support inquiry and develop information literacy across all year levels and all curriculum areas.
- Collaborate with staff to plan inquiry units and identify appropriate resourcing and scaffolding to support students' research.
- Planned and implemented the library orientation program.
- Establish and monitor day-to-day systems and workflows in the library.
