Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The Provincial Coordinator will oversee the implementation of education programs at the provincial level, ensuring that projects align with the Sustainable Goals Organization for Afghanistan’s (SGOA) strategic objectives. This role involves managing provincial staff, coordinating with local stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality education services for returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and underserved communities. The Provincial Coordinator will also be responsible for reporting, monitoring, and ensuring program sustainability at the provincial level.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Leadership & Coordination:

    • Lead the implementation of education activities in the assigned province.

    • Ensure program goals are met in accordance with SGOA’s policies and donor requirements.

    • Coordinate with field teams, community stakeholders, and education authorities to strengthen program impact.

  2. Staff Management & Development:

    • Supervise and support provincial education staff, ensuring efficient and effective performance.

    • Conduct regular team meetings to provide guidance, address challenges, and improve teamwork.

    • Facilitate training and capacity-building activities for provincial staff members.

  3. Community & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build strong relationships with local government authorities, community leaders, and education stakeholders.

    • Advocate for improved education access and quality, particularly for vulnerable groups.

    • Organize and lead community awareness programs on education importance.

  4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:

    • Oversee data collection and reporting on education program activities at the provincial level.

    • Ensure regular progress reports are submitted to the Education Coordinator.

    • Conduct field visits to assess program quality and recommend improvements.

  5. Logistics & Financial Oversight:

    • Ensure efficient utilization of program resources and adherence to financial procedures.

    • Work closely with finance and logistics teams to manage budgets and procurement.

    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in education program management, staff supervision, and stakeholder coordination.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of education policies and program implementation.

    • Experience in team leadership, project management, and reporting.

    • Familiarity with donor-funded projects and humanitarian operations.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to manage diverse teams and work under pressure.

    • Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari is preferred.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel to field locations as needed.
