Job Descriptions:
  • Build strong relationships with community members and leaders to promote trust and collaboration.
  • Facilitate community meetings to raise awareness about protection, SOV, and psychosocial services.
  • Identify and support the formation of community-based protection committees and networks.
  • Mobilize communities to participate in project activities, such as awareness sessions, training, and service utilization.
  • Assist in the identification of vulnerable individuals and families for protection and psychosocial interventions.
  • Coordinate with case management and psychosocial support teams to ensure timely referrals and follow-ups.
  • Support the organization of training sessions, workshops, and community events.
  • Conduct service mapping and update community resource directories.
  • Collect and document data related to community needs, challenges, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, including participant attendance and outcomes.
  • Submit regular progress reports to the line manager.
  • Coordinate effectively with government representatives, including, DoRR, DoPH and provincial and district leaders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community groups ‘progress and make recommendations for improvements;
  • Adhere to all WASSA administrative procedures and policies;
  • Adhere to all WASS and security policies;
  • Assist with general program operations and field-based activity;
  • Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to WASSA and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission in Afghanistan.
  • Other duties as assigned by line manager.
  • He is responsible to Report regularly on project activities and update the progress of project implementation to line manager.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field.
  • Excellent Dari, Pashto, and Basic English language skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer office applications and email.
  • Ability to regularly travel to the project sites to do fieldwork.
  • Should be familiar with the area’s culture, traditions, and sensitivities.
  • Experience in working with and coordinating with NGOs and other stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to improving others’ good governance opportunities, and engaging with rural communities and marginalized urban households.
