About Labor Spring Organization:

LSO is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profitable and welfare organization registered with the Ministry of Economy in May 2010 and renewed in August 2024 with the registration number (1678). The organization was established with a mandate to provide voluntary and charitable services to the deprived people, regardless of political, ethnic, or regional affiliations. With a focus on central region and northern part of country, LSO has implemented over 32 humanitarian and development projects in Afghanistan. The organization's thematic areas include emergency response, natural resource management, small-scale enterprise development for women and girls, livelihood and food security, agriculture irrigation, social services and the promotion of women's rights, peace, social cohesion and good governance.

Job Descriptions:

The position holder (Community Mobilizer) will be responsible for the mapping of communities, conducting awareness session and organizing dialogue sessions with community leaders on the services provided by LSO on Women Protection. The staff will be placed in LSO Provincial offices in Bamyan city with frequent travel to the project sites in Bamyan, Daikundi and Kabul provinces.

Main Responsibilities:

Assist in mapping and mobilization of the potential locations for the activities for women and girls, in coordination with CBPM provincial focal points,
Identify the community structures and will engage with men, women, boys, girls, persons with disabilities, etc. to promote a reliable communication network for the implementation of activities for women and girls in target locations,
Conduct dialogues with identified community structures and leaders on project, referral pathways and benefit from the project,
Conduct awareness raising/information sessions on referral pathways and other relevant topics in target communities engaging men, women, boys, girls, persons with disabilities and other population groups in contextualizing the activities for women and girls in target locations.
Coordinate project activities with target communities,
Report to Protection Manager on conducted activities, challenges and observations in community on weekly basis,
Support communities and beneficiaries understand and get access to Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanism,
Perform data collection for safety audits, and impact evaluations,
With the consent of POCs, refer them to Protection Manager to facilitate timely and confidential referrals to appropriate services,
Support Protection Manager and PSS counselor in day to day operation of the Safe Spaces.
Work on safe spaces to ensure attractive activities are designed and delivered for women and girls in a cost effective manner in the safe spaces, and we have regular consultation with the participants.
Assist in management of recreational and educational activities in the safe spaces.
Any other tasks assigned by the protection manager.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor degree in social science or graduated from high school
Minimum of 2 years’ social work experience, community engagement and/or community mobilization particularly in the field and in complex environment
Previous experience with Women Protection projects in Afghanistan.
Previous training in WP referral pathway is highly desirables
Excellent listening and communication skills, problem-solving and inter-personal skills
Solid Computer skills and competency in word, Excel as a minimum
