Job Summary
The Feasibility Study Expert will manage comprehensive assessments for development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical requirements, and market opportunities. The role involves analyzing project viability, identifying risks, and recommending actionable strategies to guide informed decision-making. Additionally, the expert will train and mentor the team on feasibility study methodologies, develop frameworks for future studies, and assist in identifying strategies to minimize risks and enhance investment opportunities. The expert will also lead and oversee the work of technical experts supporting the projects, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their contributions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Assessment

  • Conduct in-depth feasibility studies evaluating technical, economic, financial, operational, and environmental viability.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and constraints in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Incorporate stakeholder inputs into feasibility analyses and establish KPIs to measure success.
  • Develop "what-if" scenarios to explore outcomes and recommend optimal strategies.
  • Benchmark project plans against industry standards to ensure competitiveness.
  • Assess resource allocation, including workforce, materials, and technology, for project feasibility.

Training and Methodology Development

  • Train and mentor team members in conducting feasibility studies, ensuring skill development and capability building.
  • Develop standardized methodologies, frameworks, and templates for conducting future feasibility studies.

Leadership and Oversight

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of technical experts supporting feasibility studies.
  • Review and validate technical outputs, ensuring they align with project goals and feasibility requirements.
  • Foster collaboration among the team and provide guidance to address technical challenges.

Market Analysis

  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and emerging opportunities to inform project direction.
  • Evaluate market demand and supply dynamics to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed market analysis reports to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Analysis

  • Develop financial models, including cost estimates, revenue projections, and ROI calculations.
  • Evaluate funding options and propose viable financial structures.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders and investors.

Technical Evaluation

  • Collaborate with engineering, technical, and design teams to ensure project feasibility aligns with capabilities.
  • Review technical documents to identify and address potential obstacles.
  • Recommend technological solutions and process optimizations to improve outcomes.

Risk Management

  • Identify and assess technical, financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize risks and identify opportunities for secure investments.
  • Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and adapt to changing conditions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between project teams, senior management, and external consultants.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops to align project goals with organizational objectives.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure projects comply with local, regional, and international regulations.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments as required.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise stakeholders on compliance.

Team Support and Recruitment

  • Assist in identifying and recruiting technical experts to support project requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to ensure the recruitment of specialized talent aligns with project goals.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement best practices for feasibility study processes.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote organizational knowledge sharing.
  • Analyze completed projects for lessons learned to enhance future feasibility assessments.
Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Project Management, or related fields. A Master or Ph.D. is a plus.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience conducting feasibility studies across industries like real estate, infrastructure, technology, or energy.
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven recommendations for high-value projects.

Technical Skills
