Job Descriptions:

1. Capacity Building and Training Program Design:

Support HEI in training programs for youth, local community-based organizations, and stakeholders that address identified needs and align with project objectives.
Identify skills gaps and training needs among youth, project staff, and local stakeholders
Use both technical and soft skills training modules ensuring the integration of gender-sensitive approaches and inclusivity in all training activities.
Support the development of training materials and resources, such as manuals, handbooks, tailored to the local context.
2. Training Delivery and Facilitation:

Facilitate and deliver high-quality training sessions, workshops for youth and other stakeholders, ensuring that training methods are participatory, interactive, and tailored to the specific needs of participants.
Organize and oversee the logistics of training activities, ensuring the appropriate resources, trainers, and support mechanisms are in place.
Ensure that training content is relevant to local contexts, addresses youth employability, entrepreneurship, leadership skills, and personal development, and integrates vocational and technical skills.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Impact Assessment:

Collaborate with the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) team to track the effectiveness of training programs, ensuring that outcomes are measured and linked to improved youth employment, self-sufficiency, and empowerment.
Monitor participant feedback and conduct follow-up assessments to gauge the impact of training on youth performance and long-term outcomes.
Analyze training data and prepare reports on training outcomes, effectiveness, and recommendations for improvements.
Ensure that the training programs meet the expectations of stakeholders and the overall goals of the project.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination:

Build strong partnerships with local organizations, vocational institutions, , and partners to ensure the relevance and sustainability of capacity-building activities.
Work with the Provincial Manager to coordinate with other project components and integrate training programs with broader youth empowerment, economic, and education initiatives.
Foster relationships with local experts, trainers, and facilitators to ensure the delivery of high-quality capacity-building activities.
5. Youth Empowerment and Gender Integration:

Promote youth leadership, entrepreneurship, and active participation in training programs.
Ensure that training programs are accessible and inclusive, with a focus on empowering young women and marginalized groups, ensuring equal access to training resources and opportunities.
Support the development of youth-led initiatives and businesses as part of capacity-building efforts.
6. Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of training activities, including participant attendance, materials used, and feedback received.
Prepare regular reports on the progress of capacity-building and training activities for submission to the PM and, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories from training programs to share with our Communication Dept
7. Collaboration with Project Teams:

Collaborate with other project officers (e.g., Agriculture and Livelihoods Officer, TVET Education Officer) to ensure that training activities align with and support other project components, such as livelihood enhancement, vocational education, and youth empowerment.
Support the integration of training programs into the project’s broader activities, ensuring that all youth development initiatives are aligned and complementary.
8. Gender & Safeguarding

Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Requirements:

Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, participatory training methods, and curriculum development.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage youth and diverse stakeholder groups effectively.
Ability to design and implement M&E systems to assess training outcomes and impact.
Familiar with report writing and planning
Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple training activities simultaneously.
Fluency in English and local languages (Dari/Pashto), with excellent written and 
Experience of working in teams and coordinating with project/Programme personnel located in provinces and Districts  
Must be a team player with initiative and demonstrated ability to work in a challenging work environment;
Strong work ethic and the ability to interact well with participants at various levels; and
Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
